Rinse the entire BCD with fresh water, focusing on the bladder, inflator, rip cord/QLR weight system and dump valves. Slightly inflate to help water flow through internal areas.
Use the Bx Coupler or inflator hose to flush the inside of the bladder with fresh water; swish and drain completely.
Inspect Before Use
Check rip cord or QLR weight release, inflator valve, dump valves, straps and buckles for wear, damage or loose parts. Test each function for smooth operation.
Fully inflate and listen for air leaks; replace worn O‑rings or components promptly.
Drying & Storage
Hang the BCD partially inflated in a shaded, ventilated area until completely dry to prevent mold and mildew.
Store partially inflated in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
Lubrication & Care
Apply a silicone‑based lubricant to valve and dump mechanisms for smooth operation; avoid petroleum‑based products that can damage rubber/plas
